Mentor Marketplace, Booking & Payments Engine

The Mentor Marketplace & Booking Engine was developed as a comprehensive platform connecting mentors and learners through a seamless discovery, scheduling, and payment experience. The system enables users to browse mentors, view expertise and availability, book sessions, and complete secure payments within a unified workflow.

A major focus of the project was ensuring reliability and consistency in high-concurrency booking scenarios. Advanced booking validation, distributed locking, slot conflict prevention, and idempotent transaction handling were implemented to eliminate double bookings and maintain data integrity across the platform.

The payment infrastructure was designed using Stripe to support secure transactions, refunds, platform fees, payout management, and complete booking lifecycle tracking. The platform also includes mentor onboarding, profile management, availability scheduling, session management, and role-based administrative controls.

Built with scalability and operational efficiency in mind, the system leverages Redis-powered workflows, PostgreSQL, and modern backend architecture to provide a production-ready booking ecosystem suitable for marketplaces, coaching platforms, consulting services, and online education businesses.
